Bowling with the Nelsons

Dusty, Jocelyn and Fallon were down for the weekend, so Mom decided that we all needed to go bowling.

Um, last time Kade and I went bowling we won the losing-couple prize for lowest score! Uh, yeah, we get to keep that trophy for a year. Dad was bragging up his game, since apparently, he was a master bowling stud up at Rick's College! And he beats everyone at Wii Bowling. Um, yeah, it's so not the same thing!

It took Dad a couple or six frames to warm up! That's what happens when you don't go bowling in like 20 years. Or so he says!

Mom actually did pretty good for having a bum hand. (She's having hand surgery tomorrow to fix a bad joint in her thumb.) Kade and Mom were in a battle for the lead most of the night.

Kade doesn't bowl much, but he does pretty good. He just hucks the ball down the lane as hard as he can. Seriously, I can't believe he didn't break any pins.

Fallon's first bowling trip was a fun one! She was going wild running around and looking at stuff. Joyce did a good job bowling and keeping an eye on Fallon.

Fallon kept trying to pick up the bowling balls! Too heavy for little hands. So Joyce let Fallon help her bowl a couple frames. Fallon would try and chase the ball down the lane. So cute!

Dusty is usually a pretty good bowler, but he kinda struggled with Dad for a couple or six frames! Tee hee! You can't win everything Dusty!

Fallon loved riding around on Grandpa's shoulders. We all tried to keep her out of mischief and out of the way of other bowlers!

Ice cream was Fallon's other distraction. She was so funny eating her milkshake with a straw. She would throw her head back, close her eyes, and open her mouth as wide as she could to get that straw in the right place!

As you can see from our scores, we didn't bowl so hot (our first game anyway).
Dusty and Kade tied for first place with a 87! Wahoo - an 87! Dad and Joyce tied for last place with 73. Mom and I finished a point apart with a 81 and 82, respectively. We bowled a whole lot better the second game, but I didn't get a picture of the scores. But it appears that the Nelsons and Craners need some bowling practice!
